When I think of all the things that I have typed on my computer on the internet or in a document, I would have to admit that my computer is worse than a diary. I have a password for my computer login, I have my most personal documents saved to a secure flash drive, and I always erase my internet browsing history. Who doesn?t like their privacy, right? All of these measures are fine as long as the computer is still in my possession. When I get rid of my computer, I want to be sure that I have deleted all of my personal information from that computer. That is not so easy because pieces of information can still be recovered from the hard drive of a computer even after the information has been deleted? Disposing of a computer is not as simple as tossing it into a dumpster or sitting it out for the junkman.
