Build something. When we take it upon ourselves to create, a few valuable things happen.
One, we attract like-minded people.Whether you?re building an organization, a work of art, or a blog, you?re presenting yourself to the world in ways you never achieve in daily life. You show yourself more directly and openly. You resonate with people, you give them a way to find you.
Two, we make ourselves a medium. Building something requires self-improvement. We learn craft and skill. We push limits. When we develop our abilities, we attract uses. Ideas for great works don?t come to people without means of expression. Self-improvement makes you an instrument of creativity. If you believe in muses, building things invites them in.
Everything we build will deliver these gifts. It can take ten minutes or ten years, and we can repeat the process as many times as we like.
What are you building?
