Encourage Personal Growth in Times of Adversity

You are feeling the weight of world in your shoulders. Everyone around you is treating you badly. You?didn't?receive the support and respect of your family. You are being manipulated by the people around you. You don?t know who to trust. You don?t know your purpose in life. And then suddenly, you feel that it is time to make a change, a big change that will encourage personal growth.

I have been there - believe me - more than a year, I do know what it feels like to live in a mess, with no one believing in your ability, to feel like nobody. It's really difficult. Self-motivation when faced with conflicting or impossible choices seems impossible.

We dwell in a time and beliefs that is engrossed with instant answers and that complicates the apparent reality of the world as we think we see it with how it really is.

Many people are now going through undesirable and painful circumstances of forced change.

There is no magic wand that you can use to instantly put everything in order but there is a way through these periods of tough forced change. Here are some of my principles in life that helped me to encourage personal growth in times of adversity.

1. World is nothing if there is no sorrow. We can?t achieve the ultimate happiness we are looking for if we are not ready to face the challenges of life. Based on my own experience, the best way to learn is to experience pain and suffering. Walking on the road of thorns can make you a stronger and better person.

2. Stop the blaming game. It will not help you; it will only worsen your problem. Remember that you are still alive, so you still have a choice ? a choice to improve your life and show them what you have. Stand up and claim your power!
3. No one can help you but yourself only. The first person that can help you is yourself. So, know yourself more and begin loving that special person inside of you.

4. Listen, listen and listen. Listening is a way to learning. Active listening can enhance personal relationships through reducing conflicts, strengthening cooperation and nurturing understanding.

5. Building a strong relationship with God is undeniably a great way to live and beautify your life with things that will give you the ultimate happiness and contentment ? the happiness and contentment that can?t be found in material wealth.

There are a lot of things to ponder. If you can?t get the motivation you need around you, the very first place to find it is INSIDE of you. It is you who can decide, who will make a choice. So, make use of that ability to thrive (not to survive) and to achieve greatness in everything you do. This is the best and effective way to DEACTIVATE those people who are being rude to you.
