'Being Latino' This Week on Facebook

beinglatinofinal

This week on Being Latino on Facebook, Sofia Vergara teaches non-Spanish speakers the meaning of baile; a look at Iowa?s first majority Latino town, and debated language, marriage and another anti-immigration law.

First: Is Spanglish a dilution of the purity of the Spanish language or just its natural evolution?

With the divorce rate in the U.S. at approximately 50%, does it make sense to follow Mexico City in the offering of a new 2-year marriage license? Or does offering an easier way out after ?giving it a shot? diminish the sanctity of marriage?

Alabama?s new anti-immigration law requires that new students enrolling in their public schools prove their legal status in this country, effectively denying children the right to an education.

Can?t we all just get along? Permanently?

Maybe the funny Sofia Vergara and the adorable Elmo can bring everyone together in a little dance as together they teach the word baile.

Being Latino is a communication platform whose mission is to educate and connect all peoples across the global Latino spectrum. Being Latino is the largest fan page for Latinos on Facebook.
